Join the HPNF Awards Selection Committee and help give away over 50 scholarships and grants each year! We are seeking one new committee member, who will serve from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.
The Awards Selection Committee is responsible for conducting the awards selection of all HPNF awards. This includes reviewing applications, scorings applicants based on the application requirements provided, and providing recommendations to the HPNF Board of Directors. The committee is comprised of 1 Committee Chair, 7 to 8 nurse members, up to 1 non-nurse member, HPNF’s administrative assistant, and a HPNF staff liaison. Nurse members will include RNs, APNs, and LPNs with a mix of hospice and palliative care environments. At least 30% of these members will also be HPCC certified. This committee requires no more than 2 volunteer hours each month. Meetings of the committee will occur once a month if necessary for no more than 45 minutes. Participation on the HPNF Awards Selection Committee will qualify the member for FPCN and HPAR volunteer service points.
The HPNF Awards Selection Committee is essential to the success of HPNF, as each award given to qualified members supports hospice and palliative research, education and leadership development while advancing expert nursing care.
