Description:

HPNA is forming a 4-to-6-month long task force, to create a grant-funded orientation program for hospice and palliative care nurses.

The task force will be comprised of 8-10 HPNA RN and APRN members. Individuals will be asked to attend a 45-minute meeting every other week and spend an additional 1-3 hours per month outside of meetings on content development. The task force meetings will take place every other Monday at 3:00 p.m. ET.

The goal is for the task force to begin on Monday, November 18, 2024, and to complete the orientation program design by the end of April 2025. At the end of the project, in addition to continuing education credits, FPCN credits, and HPAR credits, an honorarium will be provided for task force members who have attended 80% of the task force meetings, and who have successfully completed all task force requirements.
