Bio

Rory Farrand is an accomplished Senior Executive and thought-leader with more than 20 years of success within the healthcare industry. Her broad areas of expertise include palliative care, geriatric primary/acute care, clinical healthcare management/operations, innovative program development & training. She is an engaging colleague who demonstrates creative problem-solving and operational excellence.

During her career, Rory has held various leadership positions with healthcare organizations, including exciting opportunities with leading providers of palliative care including Aspire Health (the nation's largest provider of community-based palliative care) and VITAS (the nation's largest for-profit provider of hospice).  Currently she serves as NHPCO's Vice President of Palliative and Advanced Care. 

Rory holds a BA in Psychology from Edinboro University, an MS in Behavioral Neuroscience from Washington State University, an MA in Art Therapy from Lesley University & an MSN (Geri/Adult Health Nurse Practitioner) degree from Boston College. In addition to her formal education, Rory holds a post-Master’s certificate in palliative care, which is her passion! She also seeks out ongoing personal learning opportunities in related clinical areas.
