2023 Item Writing Committee Workshop
Interested in serving your profession and writing items for a certification exam? HPCC is hosting a virtual Item Writing Workshop and is seeking volunteers to write items for all the available certification programs (ACHPN, CHPN, CHPPN, CHPLN, CHPNA, APHSW-C). Each participant will receive detailed instructions on how to write multiple choice test items and receive mentoring from experienced item writers. Participants will have the opportunity to develop skills in writing questions, as well as write and refine items for submission to HPCC for future use on the examinations. Experience in item writing or test development is NOT required. If eligible, participants will receive HPAR points towards recertification.
If you are interested in becoming an item writer, applications will be accepted through April 21, 2023. Selected participants will be notified by email.
Item writing is a great way to meet other healthcare professionals and become involved in shaping the certification experience!
