Join HPNA in creating the next essential textbook: Scope, Standards, and Competencies for the Hospice and Palliative Care Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants

Are you passionate about writing? Do you have experience, insight, and a desire to shape the future of education for LPNs and Nursing Assistants?

HPNA is seeking 8-10 dedicated volunteer authors to collaborate on this new textbook project that will serve as a vital resource for learners, clinicians, and educators alike.

Who We're Looking For:

• Experienced LPNs & NAs - clinicians, educators, researchers, or specialists
• Strong writers with the ability to translate complex topics clearly
• Individuals committed to accuracy, collaboration, and advancing best practices
• Previous writing or publishing experience is a plus—but not required!

Project Overview:

• Working Title: Scope, Standards, and Competencies for the Hospice and Palliative Care LPN & NA
• Topic Areas: Foundations, Competencies, Scope, Standards & Applications
• Timeline: July-September 2025
• Format: Collaborative, peer-reviewed academic text
