Description:

The Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) is currently seeking hospice and palliative registered nurses to serve on the 2026 Role Delineation Study (RDS)/Job Analysis Committee. On this committee, you will have the opportunity to identify the skills and knowledge required for individuals working in the role of the hospice and palliative care nurse. The findings from the role delineation study help inform exam development and ensure the exam accurately reflects current practice. An RDS is conducted every five to six years.

The requirements to participate in the committee include:
  • Attend a two-day, in-person meeting in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, January 8, and Friday, January 9, 2026.
  • Attend up to four conference calls following the in-person meeting.
  • Maintain complete security of HPCC materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality of discussions related to this project.
  • Reliable computer and internet access with working speaker and telephone to participate in virtual meetings and work sessions.
  • HPCC Certification is not required
Not all who apply will be selected to participate. Selections are based on creating a committee, which is representative of the practice of hospice and palliative nursing in terms of geographic regions, years of experience, education, practice setting, gender, race, and ethnicity.
HPCC-certified Committee volunteers will receive 10 HPAR points.
