Description:

The goal of State Ambassador Program is to develop a group of HPNA members with interest and expertise in health policy who will:
      • Follow and inform the Advocacy Advisory Council about critical policy issues at the state/regional levels.
      • Disseminate information about national policy issues to their constituencies.
      • Assist with policy advocacy efforts as directed by the Board of Directors and Advocacy Advisory Council. 
State Ambassadors are responsible for attending quarterly meetings via Zoom, monitoring legislation and regulation affecting hospice and palliative nurses in their state. They are also expected to participate in our grassroots advocacy efforts. This volunteer opportunity is a two-year term with a ten hour per year time commitment. 

* Please note, applicants should have at least two years of palliative care experience.
