Call for DEIB Workgroup Volunteers

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center are seeking dedicated volunteers to join a short-term Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Workgroup focused on reviewing and updating the DEIB Style Guide.

This group will play an important role in ensuring the language, resources, and communications remain inclusive, current, and aligned with best practices. 

What You Will Do: 

• Review the current DEIB Style Guide to identify areas for clarification or improvement and revisions 
• Provide recommendations on inclusive terminology and best practices 
• Ensure alignment with HPNA and HPCC’s missions, values, and DEIB commitments 
• Collaborate with staff and fellow DEIB committee volunteers to develop an updated version of the guide 

Who We Are Looking For: 

• Members passionate about DEIB and inclusive communication 
• Individuals with experience in editing, writing, or reviewing content (preferred but not required) 
• Volunteers who can commit to a few virtual meetings and asynchronous review work through 2026.
