HPNA Member Opportunity for RN/APRN - Palliative Thinking in the ED

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) and the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) are partnering in an educational collaborative. HPNA is seeking an RN or APRN to partner with a nurse colleague from the ENA to create and present a 1-hour webinar that addresses the palliative needs of patients with serious illness who present to the emergency department.

This role involves co-creating and co-presenting:

• One live ENA webinar for ED nurses
• One recorded HPNA webinar using shared content

Focus: What ED nurses can reasonably do now to manage complex pain and palliative needs.

Note: This is a time-limited, high-visibility collaboration, not a standing committee role.

Requirements: 

• Understands palliative principles

• Enjoys teaching or clinical education
• Experience caring for patients with serious illness during urgent/emergent situations
